Our Accreditation

Aspire to Excellence CARF accredited

Hermitage NOVA is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This certification is the equivalent of a good housekeeping seal of approval that fewer than 15% of the communities in the nation have earned.

What Is Accreditation?

CARF communities improve quality, services, and value by meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards. Accreditation is an ongoing process, communicating clearly that the community is committed to continuously improving services, is open to feedback, and focused on serving the community. Accreditation demonstrates a commitment to enhance performance, manage risk, and distinguished service delivery.

Why Is It Important?

CCRC’s that voluntarily participate in the accreditation process ensure their commitment to the continuous process of quality improvement and conformance to the highest standards in place for our industry.

At Hermitage NOVA, you can be sure that our community is effectively carrying out our mission and providing the services stated in our advertising and promotional materials based on these credentials.

Excellence in Aging logo

2018 Excellence in Aging Award

Hermitage NOVA was presented the prestigious “2018 Excellence in Aging Award” by the Alexandria Commission on Aging. This award recognizes an organization that has made outstanding contributions to elevating the quality of life of older Alexandrians. The Commission specifically cited our exceptional care for senior citizens, which allows them to avoid social isolation, as well as programs enabling local residents to age well in Alexandria.

Equal Housing Opportunity Logo

Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity

Hermitage NOVA operates in accordance with all laws and guidance provided by the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO). The FHEO mission is to eliminate housing discrimination, promote economic opportunity, and achieve diverse, inclusive communities by leading the nation in the enforcement, administration, development, and public understanding of federal fair housing policies and laws. FHEO protects people from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, and familial status. In addition, housing providers that receive HUD funding, have loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), as well as lenders insured by FHA, may be subject to HUD program regulations intended to ensure equal access of LGBT persons.
